Capital Expansion Project
As New Pathways heads into summer, we have a lot to celebrate. We’re overjoyed to share with you today that we have reached our Capital Expansion Project fundraising goal! To awaken the full human potential of the young people we serve and transform lives and communities, we know our programs and services must continually expand to reach more young people in the Phoenix area. By reaching this goal, we are equipped to do just that. Fully funding the Capital Expansion Project allows New Pathways for Youth to double our impact and deliver our transformative program to so many more families. If you joined us on this journey, we cannot thank you enough for your commitment to the youth we serve and the possibilities you have opened.

Graduations
We’re also celebrating two exciting graduations. Not only is there a cohort of our youth who have just graduated high school and are pursuing careers and higher education – but there are those young people who are celebrating their graduation from the New Pathways program. There are unlimited possibilities on the horizon, and our entire community is overjoyed for them.

What’s Ahead for New Pathways? Three Big Goals
While there’s a lot for us to celebrate, that doesn’t mean we’re slowing down. In fact, our goals for the future of New Pathways are more ambitious than ever. Over the past year, it’s been unusual for organizations like ours to continue pursuing strategic goals – amidst crisis, there’s often an impulse to pull back from big ideas, to value stability over growth. We rejected that impulse. New Pathways is continuing to advance, grow, and achieve new milestones.
First and foremost, we are growing into Phoenix’s most vulnerable neighborhoods to reach the youth that can most benefit from our program, while expanding the support we provide to youths’ families. Reaching our Capital Expansion Project goal and launching services in Maryvale is a crucial part of this initiative. To continue making this growth possible, we’re building long-term sustainability – diversifying our revenue streams and engaging New Pathways champions through board and leadership council memberships.
The services we provide will grow and expand too! We’re bolstering our programming through investment in further training and development for our staff, and mentors, allowing us to prepare more youth to take on their futures with readiness and resilience.
There’s so much incredible transformation already happening – imagine the impact we can create together in the coming years. As a member of our New Pathways community, you are a crucial part of making that impact.

A Month of Giving
At New Pathways for Youth, June is a month of giving. As we celebrate the achievements of the past and look forward to exciting things to come, we recognize that none of it happens without a community of generous people like you. Giving takes many forms – from serving as a mentor, to making financial investments, to supporting New Pathways youth in your neighborhood. For this month of giving, we’re highlighting an opportunity to invest in New Pathways that many people overlook!
We know that June isn’t the usual time to think about your tax liabilities, but we’ll dispel a big financial myth right here: you can always take advantage of your tax credit. Your investment today is just as eligible for a credit as it was before the tax deadline.
That means there is still an opportunity to make a transformational impact through this year’s taxes. For example, a gift of $340 pays for individualized support for a New Pathways youth as they pursue their educational goals through 2021. A gift of $650 ensures six young people can receive that same one-to-one support. You can receive a dollar-for-dollar credit on your taxes when you make a charitable donation to New Pathways: up to $400 per person and up to $800 for married couples.
