The energy at our annual Stories of Transformation Fundraising Breakfast was truly unforgettable. We were honored to gather as a community to witness the resilience and growth of our young people firsthand. It was a morning defined by the power of “leaning in” together, proving that when we surround our youth with a dedicated ecosystem of support, there is no limit to what they can achieve.

One year ago, we launched Caminos with the belief that our cultural heritage isn’t just the past, it’s the greatest tool for our youth’s future. By connecting dedicated mentors with the next generation, we have created a space where values are passed down, identity is celebrated, and potential is unlocked. We don’t just mentor; we build a bridge between where they come from to where they are going, ensuring that cultural roots are the foundation for their future.

We invite you to Caminos: Celebración & Comunidad on Thursday, April 9th, for an evening centered on community, culture, and heart. From hearing powerful stories of transformation to celebrating their path, your presence is what makes our community stronger. Whether you have been with us since day one or are just starting the journey, join us as we honor the heritage that fuels Caminos future.

Arizona Gives Day is just around the corner, and it’s the perfect time to turn what you already owe into life-changing mentorship.

On April 6th, you can invest in the potential of Phoenix youth and every donation may receive a dollar-for-dollar Arizona Charitable Tax Credit on up to $495 per individual and $987 for couples filing jointly. Every gift helps provide consistent mentorship, skill-building, and opportunity while reducing your AZ state tax liability.

Celebrating Purpose-Rooted Leadership

This month, we are proud to celebrate our Vice President of Programs & Impact, Vanesa Contreras Rodríguez, who was honored with the Be A Leader Foundation Alumni Award.

The Alumni Award recognizes a former student and scholarship recipient whose journey reflects the lasting impact of mentorship, access, and support. Vanesa’s path – from first-generation college graduate to executive leader advancing transformative outcomes for youth – embodies what becomes possible when young people are met with belief and opportunity.

We are honored to celebrate this well-deserved recognition and grateful for leaders like Vanesa who continue to turn opportunity into impact.

Learn all about the youth we serve, our program, and how we support mentors, along with the screening & commitment requirements and next steps to become a Level Up mentor.

Virtual: every Tuesday at 6:15 p.m. and every Friday at 12 p.m.

In-Person: 2nd Tuesday of the month at 6:15pm at New Pathways for Youth Homebase
