PATHWAYS! July 2021

Welcoming Our Newest Matches

If you’ve been keeping up with PATHWAYS!, you know that we recently reached our Capital Expansion Project goal. That achievement, combined with a careful transition back to our regular retreat schedule, means that New Pathways is welcoming (and matching) so many incredible youth and mentors this summer. We promised rapid expansion into neighborhoods like Maryvale, and we are seeing the fruits of that growth right now!

Our rapid expansion means we are in urgent need of caring individuals (especially men!) to join our team of volunteer mentors. If you know someone who would make a great mentor, or you yourself are ready to take that transformative step, share the link below or sign up for a mentor introduction session today: https://npfy.as.me/Mentor-Intro

ANNOUNCING: The 2021 Backpack Drive
(TODAY until JULY 26)

Over the summer, it’s easy for students to fall behind on their educational goals. That’s why we’re enlisting our New Pathways community for our 2021 Backpack Drive! Our students are in need of:

  • Backpacks
  • Blue/black pens
  • No. 2 pencils
  • Scissors
  • Crayons
  • Highlighters
  • Notebooks

When you donate any of these items, you ensure our youth have the tools they need to start the school year strong and minimize the learning loss that can happen over summer break.

Many youth-focused organizations take a break over summer. We know that at New Pathways, that isn’t an option. Transformation doesn’t stop when school is out, and neither does our New Pathways community. Arrange to drop off your donation by July 26th by contacting Roxanne Majeski-Hiller at rmajeski-hiller@npfy.org.

Introducing our Initiative Councils

Our organization is growing rapidly. As we welcome more and more youth, mentors, and investors into our New Pathways family, we’re also growing the number of champions and advocates we have out in the community. That’s why we’re proud to introduce our new Initiative Councils to you today!

Our Initiative Councils are made up of New Pathways supporters who have special expertise in specific areas – fields like law, medicine, or education – or who play a unique role in our community, like emerging leaders or adept public speakers. The skills and knowledge these councilmembers hold will be crucial to continued sustainable growth. Each Council will serve a unique role in achieving our mission to guide youth as they discover renewed outlooks on life and realize unwritten possibilities for their futures.
