Celebrating National Volunteer Week

This week is National Volunteer Week, and it is a time dedicated to honoring and celebrating the countless individuals who selflessly give their time, talents, and energy to support causes they are passionate about. Since 1989, we’ve had the privilege of engaging over 8,000 volunteers. From volunteer mentors, to the incredible individuals that staff our match events, we couldn’t be more grateful for the support.

Our volunteer mentors are truly the heart and soul of our organization. They make a significant impact on the lives of our youth by providing guidance, support, and encouragement as they navigate the challenges of adolescence and work towards their goals and dreams. Our mentors not only serve as positive role models for our youth but also as consistent sources of inspiration and motivation.

We are constantly amazed by all of our mentors dedication, compassion, and unwavering commitment to making a difference in the lives of our youth. Through their mentorship, our volunteers help our youth build confidence, develop important life skills, and realize their full potential.

But the impact of our volunteers goes far beyond just the youth they work with. They also serve as ambassadors for our organization, helping to raise awareness about the critical work we do and inspiring others to get involved and make a difference in their own communities. Their passion for serving others is contagious, and their dedication to empowering and uplifting youth spreads far and wide.

Not only do we have an incredible community of mentors, but we also have a dedicated web of volunteers that attend our events such as the annual holiday party, graduation celebrations, and back to school fundraisers. These volunteers play a crucial role in providing our youth with gifts during the holidays, supplies for school, and helping our staff make these events memorable for our matches.

No volunteer role is too small, and we appreciate every single person who has given their time and attention to New Pathways for Youth. This is how community is built.

At New Pathways for Youth, we believe that everyone has the power to change lives and create a positive impact in their community. Our volunteers embody this belief each and every day, and we are so grateful for their contributions. This National Volunteer Week, we celebrate their selflessness, their dedication, and their unwavering commitment to making the world a better place.
