An Incredible Night of Transformation
At the beginning of October, we hosted our annual Champions of Transformation event, where we celebrated the members of our Transformations Society and our mentors, donors, and supporters for being Champions of Transformation for Phoenix youth and beyond.
The night consisted of an exciting raffle, our very first pop-up shop with our brand new Level Up merch, and the unveiling of our new youth enrollment video. We also honored two of our longtime supporters – US Bank, who received the Corporate Champion of Transformation Award, and Wendell Cook, who won the Individual Champion of Transformation Award. Throughout the evening, we celebrated with delicious food, drinks, and lots of laughter.
To cap off this memorable night, we raised over $100,000! Thank you to every single one of you who continues to help us transform the lives of Arizona youth and their families.

New Pathways In the Community
New Pathways had an eventful October, as we launched new monthly activities for our matches that allow them to build skills and have fun at the same time. We also took part in several events hosted by our fellow community members. Here’s a quick recap of what’s been keeping us busy:
- Northern Arizona University Tour – Matches explored the NAU Flagstaff campus and learned more about how they can pursue this postsecondary option after they graduate high school. We were joined by 3 of our young adults who attend NAU and got to see all the things the University has to offer.
- one-n-ten’s Coming Out Event – The NPFY team had a great time at the Coming Out Event, which celebrated coming out stories in our community. It was a night of radical inclusion, and the stories were incredibly powerful and inspiring. We are so grateful for one-n-ten’s leadership and for all the important work they do for LGBTQ+ youth.
- Kids in Focus Photography Day – Kids in Focus hosted a photography lesson for our matches, who captured moments of growth and inspiration at the Japanese Friendship Garden. Our matches learned about the transformative power of photography, and how it empowers us to see the world through a different lens.
- The Phoenix Herpetological Sanctuary – Matches learned about reptiles and endangered species during an interactive tour at the Herpetological Sanctuary. We learned more about the crucial role each animal plays in the ecosystem, and even got to hold a snake.
- Arizona Cardinals Training Camp – We joined fellow local community groups Angels on Patrol and Help 1 Foundation at the Arizona Cardinals 2023 Training Camp. We were invited to watch the Cardinals players practice, as well as have a meet-and-greet with the players.
- One Community AZ Spotlight on Success – The New Pathways team was proud to attend the One Community AZ Spotlight on Success Local Heroes Awards Luncheon. We were honored to be amongst other amazing organizations furthering change and are inspired to continue the fight for equality for all Arizonans.
- City View High School Family & Community Engagement Night – We joined City View High School and several other organizations, including AZYouthForce, Friendly House, and more, for the high school’s Family & Community Engagement Night. We loved connecting with youth, families, and other members of our community.

Giving Tuesday – Nov. 28
Giving Tuesday is one week away, and we’re celebrating all the dreams that came to life for NPFY this year. We’ve launched Level Up, Level Up Academy, and our New Pathways for Youth Scholarship. Our Giving Tuesday theme is “This is What Dreams are Made of” which will showcase all of the dreams that were made possible through your support.
