Readying Our Youth for Success

With graduation season over, New Pathways is focusing on getting our youth ready for the future with workforce development! In partnership with PHX Sky Harbor and Ricondo Associates Inc., our youth have the opportunity to participate in Aviation Academy, a six-week program which allows teens and their mentors to explore various careers and get an in-depth look at all the moving parts of the airport.

On top of Aviation Academy, we’re back with our annual partnership with DPR Construction, offering our teens an insight into the different career paths that lie in construction. With the help of these two incredible partners, we’re proud to give youth more knowledge and tools to confidently decide their own path.

How We Transformed Lives in 2023

2023 was a banner year for New Pathways, as we made huge strides like launching the new brand for our youth program, Level Up, and bringing our curriculum into schools for the first time with Level Up Academy. We served 737 youth, provided over 15,400 hours of mentorship, and much more – all thanks to the generosity of supporters like you.

Donate School Supplies to Help Our Youth Succeed

It’s almost that time again – our youth are going back to school in August, and we’re hosting a drive to ensure they get the supplies they need to succeed. If you’d like to help youth in our community thrive at school, we encourage you to donate essential items on Target or Amazon. You can ship the items directly to our center, or drop them off at the address below:

This year, we are gathering all the essential back-to-school supplies, including pencils, notebooks, binders, and backpacks. In addition, we are collecting hygiene items such as deodorant, as well as stress-relief tools like coloring books and colored pencils.

Opening New Doors with the NPFY Scholarship

This year, we are thrilled to be able to award 28 youth with the New Pathways for Youth Scholarship. The award amount ranges from $2,000 to $5,000 and will better allow our youth to decide their path with confidence, whether it be attending a university or mastering a trade. We are so proud to be able to open doors to post-secondary opportunities so that our youth can find their own path to fulfillment. 

We are hosting a scholarship breakfast to celebrate our youth’s achievements on Wednesday, August 14th. Stay tuned to see pictures and hear stories from our award recipients!
