Youth Empowerment Through Technology: New Pathways for Youth and Cox Communications Collaborate

We’re so excited to announce that our Cox Innovation Lab is now open! The lab will serve as a space for youth to enjoy and learn about technology. Whether serving as a stimulating environment for them to do homework and build their design skills with software like Adobe Creative Suite, a place for them to play video games with their peers and mentors, or a foundation for future careers in tech, we’re thrilled to provide another space for our youth to level up their knowledge, skills, and experiences.

Last week, we held a special launch event to unveil the new lab. Our teens learned how to make music, create animations, coding, and more.

This initiative is designed to provide a dynamic and inspiring environment where young minds can explore, learn, and grow, paving the way for future success as youth navigate tech-based careers and interests. Read more about it here.

Congrats, Class of 2024!

This month, we have 50 youth graduating from high school! We celebrated by taking senior photos for all of our graduates, as well as hosting a panel for grads to share their advice and experiences with other youth. Additionally, we’re hosting a college and career readiness fair after our Saturday Power Ups this month to allow youth to explore the different opportunities that lie ahead. This is such an important step in our youth’s journey toward finding the path that brings them purpose, and we’re so proud of our grads for all they’ve accomplished to get here – and excited to support them in whatever lies ahead.

Celebrating 35 Years of Transforming Lives

Our 35th Anniversary continues to be one to remember. This past month, we kept the birthday celebrations going with our youth and mentors at our April Power Ups – we even received an official proclamation from Representative Marcelino Quinonez declaring April 1st as New Pathways for Youth Day!
