PATHWAYS! February 2022

Join Us for a Morning of Transformation

This year’s New Pathways breakfast, “Imagine What WE Can Do Now” is being held on March 1st at Chateau Luxe in North Phoenix. Our annual breakfast is renowned for being a launchpad for inspiration and making a difference in the lives’ of others.

We’re going to hear from the people whose lives have been transformed by mentoring youth. We’ll also hear from the youth being served and who have awakened to their unlimited, life-changing possibilities. And in keeping with this year’s theme of community transformation, attendees will be invited to share their own dreams in an interactive art display.

We hope you’ve already bought tickets. If you haven’t, now’s your chance! Because this event is the platform on which NPFY’s work for the year is built, we also hope you’ll consider hosting a table. Sign up online or contact Mary Kate Nacke at mnacke@npfy.org or (602) 802-8269.

Be Part of the Change

You can help us spread the word about becoming a New Pathways for Youth mentor to your friends, colleagues, or employees. Farrah Fiegener, our Director of Marketing & Mentor Recruitment at New Pathways, would love to visit your company and speak with your team about becoming a mentor. Contact Farrah at ffiegener@npfy.org to set up a lunch or other special event.

Becoming a mentor at New Pathways is a once in a lifetime opportunity to change a young person’s life for the better. As a mentor, you can work with courageous and inspiring youth facing poverty and four times the adversity of their peers to help them realize their remarkable potential.

If you’re ready to change a youth’s life – as well as your own – sign up for a Mentor Introduction session today. Or, if you know someone who would make a great mentor, share the link:  https://npfy.as.me/Mentor-Intro

This Valentine’s Day Transformation is in the Air

Flowers wilt. Chocolates get eaten. But transforming the life of a young person by giving them the confidence and tools to overcome adversity is forever. What could be a more beautiful way to honor your Valentine than with the life-changing gift of hope?

This Valentine’s Day, we invite you to give to New Pathways in honor of your special someone. We’ll provide you with a thoughtful e-card for your Valentine that lets them know they’re a part of empowering youth and transforming our community.

Make a lasting impact this Valentine’s Day, by helping Valley youth discover renewed outlooks on life and realize unwritten possibilities for their futures. Click here to make a donation and send a heart-warming Valentine’s Day e-card to someone you love.

Exciting Changes at New Pathways

We’re projecting big things for New Pathways in 2022. That’s why we’re so excited to announce that four members of our team have been promoted into new roles. Together, they are going to help take NPFY’s infrastructure, marketing, and curriculum to new heights.

Farrah Fiegener has been named Director of Marketing & Mentor Recruitment after serving as the Mentor Recruiter at New Pathways since 2019. As Director, she will manage all marketing and communications and mentor recruitment and engagement for NPFY.

Mark Garcia, a member of the New Pathways team since 2015, has now assumed the role of Director of Curriculum and Training, where he will lead program development while also coordinating the work of the Faculty Design Program.

Mary Kate Nacke, who joined New Pathways in 2020, has been promoted to Communications Manager. In her role, Mary Kate will continue to provide content and oversight on all things print and digital media.

And finally, Mark Teetor, who has been overseeing Finance, Human Resources, Facilities, Information Technology and Mentor Recruitment at New Pathways since 2020, has been promoted to Vice President of Operations. In his new role, he will take on oversight of Events and Marketing.

With these changes, New Pathways is ready to implement our expansion plan in targeted Phoenix metro communities with the goal of doubling our impact by serving 1,000 youth. We are especially proud that all four of these leaders are also mentors at New Pathways, which reflects their deep commitment to our mission and work.
