Two Years of the Mentorship Blueprint: A Fresh Look for a Resource That’s Growing With Our Community

The Mentorship Blueprint

Phoenix, AZ | June 30, 2026

Nearly two years ago, we launched the Mentorship Blueprint Podcast with a simple but powerful idea: to create a space where real conversations about mentorship could reach the people doing this work every day. What started as a modest resource has grown into something we are genuinely proud of, a trusted tool used by mentors, program leaders, and youth-serving professionals across the region.

As we approach 1,000 total downloads, we are relaunching the Mentorship Blueprint with a refreshed look, improved accessibility, and the same deep commitment to strengthening the relationships that change young lives.

Built for the People Doing the Work

Everything about the Mentorship Blueprint was designed with mentors in mind. Each episode is grounded in trauma-informed care, youth resilience, and the kind of honest, practical conversation that meets you where you are, whether you are brand new to mentoring or have been showing up for young people for years.

Over the past two years, we have heard from mentors and partners who have used the podcast as a training companion for new mentors, a discussion tool within their programs, and a quick on-the-go resource for continuous learning. That kind of real-world impact is exactly what keeps us going.

A Fresh Look, Easier Access

To mark this milestone, the Mentorship Blueprint has a new visual identity that reflects the growth and energy of our mentorship community. But more than a new look, we have made it easier than ever to find, listen, and share.

You can now explore all episodes in one place on our website, listen during your commute or workflow, and watch episodes on YouTube for a more engaging experience. However and whenever you learn best, the Blueprint is there.

Grounded in What Matters Most

As mentorship evolves, so does this resource. We have continued to refine our focus around what we know makes the biggest difference: real stories that reflect the lived experiences of youth and mentors, practical strategies you can apply right away, and short, engaging episodes that respect your time.

The result is something that is not just informative, but deeply human. Because at the heart of every episode is the belief that one strong relationship can change the entire trajectory of a young person’s life.

A Community Effort

The Mentorship Blueprint is recorded at Rosie’s House, located near our Homebasd in Central Phoenix. That partnership is no accident. Rosie’s House believes, just as we do, that young people grow and thrive when barriers are removed and opportunity is made real. When community organizations come together around a shared purpose, something powerful happens, and this podcast is proof of that.

We also want to recognize the mentors, youth, and guests who have brought their honesty, wisdom, and heart to these conversations: Jane, Alejandra, Emily, Cherry, Savannah, Theo, Candy, Angel, Nita Marquez, Nathan Shiya, Robin, ClarkCallie Nelson, and Sam, and many others. This work belongs to all of you.

What’s Next

We are just getting started. In the months ahead, we will be expanding with new episodes, new voices, and new conversations that reflect the full diversity of our community and the young people we serve.

This new era begins with an episode that speaks directly to one of the most important milestones in a young person’s life: preparing for life after high school. In Preparing Teens for Life After High School: How Mentors Can Make a DifferenceMark Garcia sits down with Vanesa Contreras Rodriguez, Vice President of Programs and Impact at New Pathways for Youth, to explore how mentors can support teens as they consider college, trade school, careers, military service, and other postsecondary pathways. The conversation offers practical, encouraging guidance for helping youth start early, build confidence, and take ownership of their future without mentors taking over the process.

If this work resonates with you, we invite you to collaborate with Mark and help extend the reach of the Mentorship Blueprint. And if your organization is interested in supporting this effort, we would love to connect. Reach out to our Philanthropy team to explore how we can build stronger futures for young people together.
