Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQIA+) Pride Month is celebrated each year in the month of June to honor the 1969 Stone Wall Uprising. The Stonewall Uprising was a tipping point for the Gay Liberation Movement, and as a result, many pride events are held during this month to recognize the impact LBGTQIA+ people have in the world.
