Youth Empowerment Through Technology: New Pathways for Youth and Cox Communications Collaborate
New Pathways for Youth (NPFY) is bridging the tech gap by partnering with Cox Communications to launch the Cox Innovation Lab, a state-of-the-art space dedicated to promoting technological education and creativity among Phoenix youth facing poverty and adversity.
The Cox Innovation Lab is outfitted with the latest tech tools and software, including the full Adobe Creative Suite, coding software like Python or Visual Studio, and a Steinberg Cubase for music production.
This space will serve as a versatile resource center, addressing both educational and recreational needs. Whether it’s a stimulating setting to complete homework, a creative hub to develop design skills, or a vibrant community space for youth and mentors to play video games, the Cox Innovation Lab offers it all.
“We’re proud to partner with Cox Communications to bring this incredible resource to our youth,” CEO and President Dr. Karen Johnson said. “There’s a technology gap for youth facing poverty and adversity, and we’re ensuring that our youth have access to technology and a space to learn it and build their skills.”
NPFY transforms the lives of youth facing poverty and adversity by providing the support, stability, and skills they need to flourish in the community and in their families. This initiative is designed to provide a dynamic and inspiring environment where young minds can explore, learn, and grow, paving the way for future success as youth navigate tech-based careers and interests.
