Turning Community into Opportunity: Join Our Community-Led Arizona Charitable Tax Credit Campaign

At New Pathways for Youth, change does not start with a transaction; it starts with people. With mentors who show up consistently. With staff who walk alongside young people every day. With community members who believe that every young person deserves access to stability, support, and opportunity.
That is why we are inviting you to take part in our Community-Led Arizona Charitable Tax Credit Campaign a community powered effort built on relationships, shared purpose, and yes, a little friendly competition.
How It Works
Fundraising for New Pathways for youth is simple and personal: Community members, staff, board members, and some mentors are already part of this campaign, and you can find their profiles and donating pages here.
Why are we doing this through the Arizona Charitable Tax Credit:
Because the Arizona Charitable Tax Credit lets people redirect their state taxes, dollar for dollar, into lifechanging mentorship instead of sending that money to the state.
It’s a practical, proven way to turn taxes you already owe into direct, local impact for Arizona youth.
- Individuals can give up to $495
- Married couples filing jointly can give up to $987
- Every gift can be eligible for a dollar-for-dollar tax credit
Your contribution directly supports mentoring relationships, case management, and the wraparound services that help young people build confidence and stability. Check this video to learn more about it.

This year’s campaign adds a fun, friendly layer of competition, making it easy to support the people you already believe in.
You can:
- Stand behind our Program Coordinators, who work closely with youth and mentors every day
- Support our VP of Philanthropy, Scott Smith helping grow sustainable funding for our mission
- Or join the good-natured rivalry between our CEO, Karen Johnson, and our Board members, Anuya Sheorey or Hector Arevalo.
Are you already connected to someone on staff? Just want to root for a team that speaks to you? That’s all it takes. Every ambassador has a personalized fundraising page, and every contribution helps move both the mission, and the friendly competition forward.
We Make It Easy to Participate
Ambassadors and Community supporters alike have access to tools designed to keep outreach simple and authentic:
- Ready-to-use email and social media templates
- Graphics, messaging prompts, and real impact stories
Suggested goals range from $1,000 to $3,000 per ambassador, but every gift, large or small, moves this work forward.
The time to join is now.
The campaign runs from February 2 through April 15, aligned with tax season.
Along the way, we’ll share progress updates, celebrate milestones, and highlight the creativity, heart, and competitive spirit of our ambassadors.
