Strikes for a Cause: Rolling Pins and Raising Funds!

Since 1989, New Pathways for Youth has raised over $45 million. One of our top supporters, the Arizona Roofing Contractors Association (ARCA), has contributed over $250,000 to our mission. Each year, ARCA hosts a charity bowling tournament to raise funds for our youth and families, and this past weekend marked the 25th annual charity tournament.

In partnership with the Arizona Roofing Industry Foundation (ARIF) and Glenfair Lanes, ARCA gathers community friends and families to fill the bowling lanes, purchase raffle tickets, and have some fun. This year’s event took place on Saturday, June 15th, and was themed “out of this world,” prompting a costume competition.

Along with a silent raffle, there were multiple prize lanes where bowlers could win raffle tickets for every pin that they hit. Glenfair was packed with prizes for kids and adults, and each ticket won from bowling could be entered in all of the raffles.

With over 200 attendees, including our youth and mentor matches, this event is anticipated to raise close to $10,000 in support of our mission. NPFY is currently exploring workforce development opportunities with ARCA to provide roofing industry experience to our teens and young adults in the next year.

We are grateful for community partnerships like these, as our mission would not be possible without their support. Not only that, but our matches had a great time bowling and being in community with each other. Thank you to ARCA, ARIF, and Glenfair Lanes for your commitment to making a positive impact on Phoenix youth.
