NPFY’s Holiday Barnyard Bash & Caregiver’s Winter Social

The NPFY Holiday Barnyard Bash was a success! We had over 140 youth, mentors, and families join us for food, games, ornament painting, and our petting zoo! However, one of the cows seemed a little out of place.

After Power Up, youth received care kits that included soap sets, ChapSticks, deodorant and more, along with gifts like Squishmallows and board games. After getting lunch, there was no shortage of activities to choose from. Some played giant Jenga and ping pong in the courtyard, while others spent the whole time in the petting zoo. By the end of the party, youth were performing and serenading the crowd with classic karaoke tunes like the Black Eyed Peas and Wham!

While we host a holiday party for matches every year, it was our very first year hosting a Caregiver’s Winter Social. While matches were at Power Up, our youth enrollment coordinators hosted the Caregiver’s Winter Social, which ended with a game of white elephant. Our staff also collaborated to put together food boxes for all of the families so we can all enjoy a holiday meal. Our goal is to ensure that all members of the household feel supported, and leave with a holiday gift.

Shea Homes Arizona played a large role in making the party festive and providing gifts this year, and Toyota Financial Services volunteers helped us decorate and hand out gifts. We’re grateful to have these community partnerships that make our mission come to life!

This was our largest holiday party yet, and it’s only getting better from here! Thank you to everyone who came out and enjoyed the day with us.
