NPFY Leadership Updates
New Pathways for Youth is pleased to announce the promotion of four members of its professional team. “Our organization has a strong program foundation in place, and we are ready to implement our plan for expansion in targeted Phoenix metro communities with a goal of serving 1,000 youth,” noted President & CEO Karen D. Johnson, Ph.D. “I am excited to share the advancement of several members of our team who will strengthen our infrastructure, marketing, and curriculum as we grow our footprint in the Valley. I am especially proud that all four of these leaders are also mentors at New Pathways, which reflects their deep commitment to our mission and our work.”
Mark Teetor has been promoted to Vice President of Operations. Mr. Teetor joined the New Pathways team in 2020, after having served in several high-level business planning and operations positions in the nonprofit and retail sectors. In 2017, he was named a Bank of America Neighborhood Builders Emerging Leader for his work at Dress for Success. At New Pathways, Mr. Teetor oversees the areas of Finance, Human Resources, Facilities, Information Technology, and Mentor Recruitment. In his new role, he will take on oversight of Events and Marketing.
Farrah Fiegener has been named Director of Marketing & Mentor Recruitment. Ms. Fiegener has been the Mentor Recruiter at New Pathways since 2019, bringing with her an impressive background as a sales and marketing executive at digital and traditional media companies. She is an accomplished presenter and passionate advocate for the organization. As Director, she will manage all marketing and communications for the organization as well as mentor recruitment and engagement.
Mark Garcia has accepted the role of Director of Curriculum and Training. Mr. Garcia has worked at New Pathways since 2015, leading mentor training, advancing curriculum development, and facilitating workshops and retreats. He has an extensive background in corporate training, is a graduate of Valley Leadership, and a certified integral coach with New Ventures West. Mr. Garcia will continue to lead the curriculum and training programs at New Pathways, while also coordinating the work of the Faculty Design Program.
Mary Kate Nacke has assumed the title of Communications Manager. Ms. Nacke joined New Pathways in 2020, with a portfolio of experience in journalism, public relations, social media, and nonprofit work. In her role, she creates content for both print and digital media, management of the organization’s web site and social media accounts, as well as special events and speechwriting support and oversight of graphic design.
