Hopes and Dreams: Imagining What’s Possible for The Class of 2025

Phoenix, AZ May 21, 2025.– At New Pathways for Youth, we don’t just see young people for who they are today—we see them for who they can become. With every mentorship conversation, Power Up, and goal setting session, we are planting seeds of hope and watching futures take root.

As we celebrate the Class of 2025, we are reminded of what transformation looks like in action. Each graduate represents not only a personal milestone but the strength of a community that believes in potential and invests in possibility.

Take Pedro, who shared:
“Changing schools and being successful in adapting to a new environment, meeting new people—and being able to juggle school, work, sports, and relationships—that’s what I’m most proud of.”
He’s now preparing to study HVAC, opening doors to a future in skilled trades.

For Gricel, the journey has meant dreaming big and acting boldly:
I’ve applied to so many scholarships! I want to study radiology… and I also want to travel the world and explore different cultures!”

Anna reflected on her inner transformation:
“I’m taking control of my life and making my own decisions. I am growing and being mature, taking responsibility for my actions.”
She’s determined to continue this momentum and graduate next year.

Valeria, meanwhile, has learned the power of boundaries:
“Learning to put myself first changed how I show up for everything else.” She’ll be entering Glendale Community College to study nursing.

And then there’s Maurice—recognized as Student of the Year across the entire Phoenix Union High School District, a state-level athlete, and homecoming king. His next chapter? Studying construction at either ASU or NAU.

Each of these young people carries a different dream. Some envision careers in healthcare or the military, others in business, geology, or the arts. Some want to start their own business, explore the world, or give back by supporting others.

One thread ties them all together: the belief that their future matters.

As one student beautifully put it: “This is just the starting point. I am open to anything.”

At New Pathways for Youth, we are endlessly proud of these graduates and the mentors who have walked alongside them. Together, they show us what’s possible when we create the conditions for transformation—with intention, with love, and with community.
