Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s Call to Action: What Are You Doing for Others?
Phoenix, AZ,. January 20, 2025.- Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. left an indelible mark on the world, challenging us to embrace service and compassion as guiding principles. Among his many profound statements, one question resonates deeply: “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?’” At New Pathways for Youth, we see this as a rallying cry to create real, measurable change for the youth in our community.
Our programs and curriculum are designed to unlock potential, and the results speak volumes. 95% of the youth in our program graduate from high school, 80% go on to pursue post-secondary education, and 100% leave our program believing that everything is possible. These outcomes reflect the power of mentorship and the transformational impact of our work.
There are many ways to get involved and honor Dr. King’s legacy of service. You can volunteer your time as a mentor or as a co-facilitator in our Level Up Academy, where you’ll directly inspire youth to break through barriers and achieve their dreams.
Another way to make a difference is by contributing through the Arizona Charitable Tax Credit. With the tax deadline approaching, consider making a dollar-for-dollar donation—up to $938 per couple—that helps sustain these life-changing programs. Your generosity not only supports the futures of Phoenix youth but also benefits you when filing your state taxes.
Businesses can amplify their impact too. Corporate social responsibility initiatives and matching gift programs allow organizations to partner with NPFY in creating brighter futures.
At NPFY, we transform lives. When you choose to give, mentor, or volunteer, you become part of a legacy of empowerment and possibility. So, we ask you: What are you doing for others? Join us to make a lasting difference and keep Dr. King’s dream alive.
