NPFY celebrates back to school at summer Power-Ups
It’s hard to believe (especially with these brutal AZ temps) that summer is on the way out and it’s time for a new school year! Some youth in our program are excited, some are a little nervous and some are admittedly dreading it – but all of them deserve to start the school year off with a backpack full of everything they need for the new school year.
Our mission is to provide the support, skills and stability each of our youth needs to flourish and a backpack does just that. Though it may seem like an inanimate object, it provides a place to keep your schoolwork organized, and be prepared for whatever their school day throws at them.
At the past few Power Ups, the New Pathways team has been passing out backpacks filled with supplies and a few goodies to keep them feeling good during the school day. We also had a personalization station where youth could add patches, stickers and keychains to their backpack to make it feel like theirs.
