Amelia and Dailyn – A new match full of opportunity
Dailyn and her mentor Amelia recently did their first case plan at New Pathways – an opportunity to lay out goals for the future and game plan the next few months of steps to reach them. This individualized action planning is a pillar of New Pathways’ research-based model Instrumental to supporting youth in creating academic success towards high school graduation and post-secondary obtainment.
The case plan has been very helpful for Amelia to have some tangible goals that she can help support Dailyn with, which includes reaching out to teachers when she needs assistance or clarification. Additionally, it allowed Amelia to challenge Dailyn in some of the interpretations that were keeping her from achieving her full potential. With plans in place to achieve her goals and the support of her mentor Amelia, Dailyn’s future is full of possibility and we can’t wait to see it in full bloom!
You can be a part of more bright futures just like Dailyn’s by directing your tax dollars to help NPFY transform lives. A gift to New Pathways means a dollar-for-dollar credit on your taxes up to $800 ($400 for individuals). Learn more here.
Give those on your holiday list the gift of hope and possibility for a young person in our community.
In year’s past, our countertops were overflowing with gift baskets all December long. But just like with many other things, this year’s holiday gift giving will probably look a little different. What won’t look different however, is that the youth in our program still need support now, more than ever.
That’s why this year, we’re offering virtual gift baskets to send to your list after making a gift to New Pathways in their honor.
