Inside Our First Summer Fair & Hoops Tournament
We recently hosted our first-ever Summer Fair & Hoops Tournament at the Westside Multigenerational Center, bringing together nearly 100 youth, mentors, and staff for an unforgettable day of sports, creativity, and connection. From friendly competition on the court to painting mini canvases and learning routine moves from the Phoenix Suns Dancers, the energy was unmatched. We were also thrilled to welcome the ASU Sun Devil Women’s Basketball Team, who spent the day inspiring our youth to shoot for the stars through hard work and perseverance.
This incredible day was made possible through the generous support of the Phoenix Suns/Phoenix Mercury Foundation, whose dedication to our community helps our youth see new possibilities for their futures. We are deeply grateful for their partnership, as well as the commitment of our volunteer mentors and community partners who helped us celebrate the limitless potential of our young people.

Prepping for Success at Our Back-to-School Celebration
We hosted our annual Back-to-School Celebration this past weekend, ensuring our youth are fully prepared and ready to succeed in the upcoming school year! Every year, our friends at American Studio Designs provide countless backpacks, binders, and lunchboxes, ensuring every single youth leave the event with a backpack stuffed with the essential supplies.
Not only did we provide essential school supplies, but our partners at St. Mary’s Foodbank also brought food boxes for our families to take home, ensuring wrap around support for the entire household.
We are immensely grateful to our sponsors who made it possible: United Healthcare Community Plan, Snell & Wilmer, and Target Corporate, who not only sponsored the event but also showed up in full force as volunteers. Thank you to everyone who invested in the futures of our youth this weekend!.
We believe our work is strongest when it is shaped alongside the communities we serve, ensuring our impact is deep, intentional, and rooted in the people at the center of our mission. This August, we are excited to join nonprofit leaders from across the state at the 2026 UNITE Conference, hosted by Arizona Impact for Good. Our very own Farrah Fiegener, VP of Community Outreach, will be co-presenting a session titled “From Representation to Results: Building a Culturally Rooted Engagement Model That Grows Donors, Volunteers, and Advocates” alongside Carlos L. Velasco, CEO of Novle.
This presentation is a wonderful opportunity for us to share the powerful lessons and experiences we’ve gained through our Caminos program with a statewide audience. This effort has been shaped by a massive community effort, reflecting the invaluable voices and leadership of our mentors, youth, families, staff, and Caminos Advisory Council members. We are honored to contribute to this sector-wide conversation, learning alongside our peers to better support Latino communities and beyond.

We are thrilled to announce that our annual Champions of Transformation celebration will take place on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at a stunning new venue: the Adobe Grille at The Biltmore Golf Club in Phoenix! This signature evening brings together our incredible community of mentors, partners, and supporters to celebrate the life-changing power of mentorship and the achievements of our youth. Guests will experience an inspiring evening filled with powerful stories of resilience, a silent auction, and the presentation of our special Champion of Transformation awards.
We will celebrate the collective impact we create when we invest in the potential of local youth. We are already gearing up to make this an unforgettable evening of connection and celebration, and we would love for you to be part of it.
