Taking Flight This Summer with Aviation Academy
In June, our youth took to the skies – literally! Through our partnership with PHX Sky Harbor, Support Sky Harbor Coalition, and Ricondo & Associates, we launched our first-ever Aviation Academy last summer. We brought this opportunity back this year, and our matches explored the dynamic world of aviation, touring the airport’s fire station, command center, museum, and more. They met the Sky Harbor team and learned how airports run behind the scenes. Opportunities like this inspire our youth to dream bigger and imagine new career possibilities they never knew existed.
From Graduation to Possibility
As we close out graduation season, our hearts are full. It’s not just the diplomas – it’s the dreams. We’re already imagining what’s possible for the Class of 2025.
This year, our Program Coordinators celebrated seniors who have worked hard, overcome challenges, and reimagined their futures. From goal-setting sessions to quiet breakthroughs, they’ve supported every step.
The Class of 2025 is full of dreamers and doers: Pedro, who’s preparing to study HVAC after juggling school, sports, and work. Gricel, who applied to countless scholarships and dreams of traveling the world. Valeria, who’s heading to nursing school after learning to put herself first. And Maurice – Student of the Year, homecoming king, and state-level athlete – is off to study construction at ASU or NAU.
Every graduate has a different dream, but one thing connects them all: a belief that their future matters. We’re proud of who they’ve become – and even more excited for who they’re becoming.

Help Us Gear Up for the School Year
Let’s fill our students backpacks for the upcoming school year! We’re setting our teens up for success by ensuring they have ample supplies, so they won’t go to class missing any essential items. Plus, we’re collecting hygienic items like deodorant to help them feel completely confident stepping into school. We need help collecting the following items:
- Calculators
- Pens & pencils
- Folders
- Backpacks
- Essential hygiene products
Shop our Walmart, Amazon, or Target registries by July 23rd to donate school supplies directly to our homebase. Thank you for your support!
Welcome to Our New Matches!
In June, 15 youth joined Level Up and were matched with a mentor at our Level Up Launch! After a long weekend of breakthroughs and forming friendships, each teen was thoughtfully matched with a dedicated mentor, forming inspiring partnerships focused on growth, learning, and success.
Our mentors have stepped up to guide, support, and empower their mentees as they work toward their unique goals. The youth, in turn, have committed to putting in the effort and embracing new opportunities with the encouragement and guidance of their mentors. We couldn’t be more excited to support this amazing group and watch them thrive on their journey. Together, we’re building a brighter future, one connection at a time!
