People Who Believe in Young People: Leadership and Long-Term Commitment at New Pathways for Youth

At New Pathways for Youth, transformation is not only something we create alongside youth, mentors, caregivers, and community partners. It is something we live as a team. Every year, our organization grows because dedicated people continue to step forward with leadership, creativity, compassion, and a deep belief in what is possible for Phoenix youth. 

This month, we are proud to celebrate both the recent promotions of several team members and the long-term commitment of colleagues whose years of service continue to strengthen our mission. 

Honoring Recent Promotions at NPFY 

As we begin our fiscal year, New Pathways for Youth is celebrating leaders whose expanded roles reflect their impact across programs, operations, community outreach, training, curriculum, and youth enrollment. 

  • Mark Teetor has been named Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. 
  • Mark Garcia has stepped into the role of Vice President of Learning Systems. 
  • Julian Arvizu will now serve as Manager of Youth Enrollment. 

These leadership updates reflect years of dedication, steady growth, and a shared commitment to building systems, relationships, and programs that help young people thrive. From strengthening operations and partnerships to expanding trauma-informed learning experiences and deepening youth and mentor engagement, these leaders are helping New Pathways continue to grow with purpose. 

Celebrating Long-Term Commitment and Mission-Driven Service 

We are also honored to recognize team members whose years of service have shaped the heart and strength of New Pathways for Youth. 

We are proud to recognize Nick Harris-Jensen and Farrah Fiegener for more than five years of dedicated service with our organization, as well as Mark Garcia for almost 11 years as part of the NPFY team. 

For more than a decade, Mark Garcia has helped shape learning experiences that support youth, mentors, facilitators, and staff. His work reflects a deep commitment to transformational learning and relationship-based growth across New Pathways for Youth. 

Farrah Fiegener’s leadership has strengthened NPFY’s community outreach, mentor recruitment, and public engagement efforts, helping more people see themselves as part of the movement to transform young lives. 

Nick Harris-Jensen’s work in philanthropy has supported donor engagement, event systems, and community investment in our mission, helping connect generosity with meaningful impact for youth.

Behind every youth mentorship program, every caregiver connection, every mentor training, every community partnership, and every moment of transformation is a team of people who believe in young people and in the power of consistent support. 

As NPFY continues to expand youth empowerment programs in Phoenix, strengthen trauma-informed mentorship, and build pathways of possibility for teens and young adults, our staff leadership matters. These promotions and service milestones remind us that organizational growth and youth transformation are deeply connected.
