Celebrating One Year of Caminos — A Night of Conexión, Comunidad, and Commitment 

At New Pathways for Youth, we believe that mentorship is strongest when it honors where we come from and where our youth are going. One year ago, that belief led to the creation of Caminos, an initiative designed to connect mentors and youth through shared values, cultural pride, and community leadership. 

This spring, we are proud to celebrate the first anniversary of Caminos with a special gathering that recognizes the people who made this first year possible and the future we are building together. Entrance is free and everyone is welcome.

This event marks an important milestone for Caminos. In just one year, the initiative has brought together mentors, families, community leaders, and youth who believe that cultural identity is not a barrier to success — it is a foundation for it. Through mentorship rooted in respect, family values, and shared experience, Caminos has created new pathways for young people to see themselves as leaders in their own lives. 

Why Caminos Matters 

Caminos was created with a simple but powerful idea: 

When youth see adults who understand their story, their confidence grows. 

When mentors bring their full identity into the relationship, trust grows. 

And when community shows up together, transformation becomes possible. 

Over the past year, Caminos has helped expand mentorship opportunities for youth in our community while also welcoming mentors who want to give back in a way that reflects their culture, language, and life experience. The result has been stronger connections, deeper engagement, and relationships built to last. 

A Night to Celebrate Community 

Caminos: Celebración & Comunidad will be an evening filled with the things that define who we are: 

• Comunidad — Connecting with mentors, families, and partners shaping the future of our youth 

• Cultura — Enjoying food, music, and traditions that bring us together 

• Corazón — Hearing real stories from youth and mentors whose lives have been changed through mentorship 

Whether you have been part of Caminos since the beginning or are just learning about it, this celebration is an opportunity to come together and recognize what can happen when a community commits to its young people.  There will food, music, a wine & spirits pull and many fun ways opportunities to support this initiative.

Looking Ahead 

The first year of Caminos is only the beginning. 

With every mentor who steps forward, every youth who says yes to growth, and every partner who believes in this work, the path becomes wider and stronger.
